A Necklift is used to correct sagging or lax skin on the neck. It is often performed in conjunction with a Facelift.

About the Necklift Procedure - How does it work?
Fullness in the neck area (or submental region) can be treated in three different ways. For instance, people with fullness in their neck but good overall skin tone may only need Liposuction. Liposuction is a safe, easy procedure that I carry out in my office with just a local anesthetic.

For people who have lax underlying neck muscles in addition to fullness in their neck, Dr, Berman will do Liposuction to the neck and make an incision behind the chin crease to tighten the neck muscles. If needed, Dr. Berman will also remove some fat deep in the muscle.

If a patient has a full neck with noticeable skin laxity, they will need both a Face and Neck lift. For this treatment approach, Dr. Berman will tighten the neck skin and resection the extra skin in areas that conceal a scar well.

What you can expect.
Patients who use Liposuction to reduce fullness in their neck will see full results in three months.
