Picosure Laser Facial – What Is It And What Can It Do? Which Areas Can I Have Treated?
The Picosure laser is Cynosure’s (America’s largest laser company) newest laser. It has breakthrough technology in that this laser has a pulse duration, meaning it emits the laser and then quickly stops it, 70x faster than the next fastest laser on the market and compared to many lasers is hundred or thousands of times faster.
What Does This Mean To You?
This means that you are getting the benefit of a laser treatment with little to no redness. This also means you can have your laser treatment and then go back to work in a few hours and certainly the next day – minimal downtime!! (Compare this to the various CO2 lasers, Fraxels and IPLs where you will be very red for many days or even weeks following your treatment).
The Picosure Is Beneficial For 3 Major Problems:
The first is hyperpigmentation. Almost all women after the age of 30, (and frequently before this) will develop areas of uneven pigmentation in their faces, necks, decollete and hands (and forearms). This is due to hormones (especially with pregnancy), environment and sun exposure. This presents as patchy brownish areas, which you then have to cover with make-up. Fine lines on the face, especially around the mouth and eyes, comes with aging. Some men and women, will develop scarring from acne.
These problems can be substantial improved with the Picosure Laser facial which can be done on the face, neck, decollete and even the hands or forearms.
You should plan on doing a set of 3 laser treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. These are performed by my specially trained Master Estheticians.
You should stop all active skin care products at least 3 days prior to your treatment. You should also use a strong sun screen 3 weeks before a treatment, as well.
